Seth Candan is a Texas Country/Red Dirt singer/songwriter born and raised in Alvin, Tx. His love for music and picking guitar was cultivated early on in high school. After graduating, he moved to College Station where he formed a full band with acoustic acts. Candan later started opening for bigger names in the scene to include Jamey Johnson, Eli Young Band, Robert Earl Keen, Stoney LaRue, Randy Rogers, Wade Bowen, and Whiskey Myers among others. Soon after, he started playing across Texas and Oklahoma in the red dirt industry. During this time, Seth dedicated many hours working in Ada, OK with one of the red dirt movement founders and a fellow singer/songwriter and producer, Mike McClure. McClure is formally know to the group The Great Divide. Seth had the transformative opportunity to record in McClure’s personal studio known as ‘The Boohatch’ where they worked on Seth’s record, “The Aftermath.” This effort propelled Candan in the right direction on the scene, putting his name on the red dirt Texas country map. Seth recalls, ” ‘The Aftermath’ has a lot to do with how I’ve lived and experienced crazy and fun times away from home during those college years.” In 2013, Seth became part of the 518 Records family in Norman, OK after signing a record deal with Mike McClure. Nearing the end of 2015 and into the next spring, Candan took a personal hiatus from the road life and decided not to release the record but began chipping away at his newest record that he produced, and co- wrote along the side with Mike McClure . It is due to be released March 2019.
